Fitting shower waste

Hi folks

Not sure about fitting this JT - JT40 90mm Shower Waste - S1514 at Victorian Plumbing

Would you put the washer under the shower tray or on the surface? No instructions came with it

I initially fitted it under the tray as it seems to fit best with the trap body flange but it leaked. So I'm wondering if it should actually go under the flange

Any advice much appreciated!

The washer goes between the the trap and the underside
of the shower tray.

yup,
bit of plumbers mait under the flange, washer under the tray.

i agree washer under the tray sealant on tray under flange.

I agree asher under the tray but usually there is 1 to go above the tray also

Use some Lsx or silicone between the rubber washer and the tray.
