Hello. I've attached an image of an old garden tap with a new garden tap replacement, except the thread on the new tap is larger than the existing tap fitting. Is there a reducing nut that can adapt the new tap to the wall fitting or could the new tap handle be used to replace the old handle and then use the remainder of the old fitting?

Thanks.

On the assumption this is nothing to do with April the 1st,
You're trying to fit the tap the wrong way around.

On the assumption this is a late April the 1st post, nice try, but,,

Thanks. It's not April 1st but I've just realised that this year old 'new' tap has a thread adapter on the one side giving the impression of an oversized thread, when in fact all is correct with the fitting.
