Any Ideal experts out there ?
I am struggling with this one. The boiler fires by electronic ignition of the pilot at the back of burner, then lights burner straight away, To view the pilot it is easier to take out the detection electrode and look through the gap, when I do this it lights the pilot every time, and off it goes. Screw the detection electrode back into position, test it and it is OK.
Two hours later he is on the phone, same problem, I can hear the spark, but no light of pilot, take off the detection electrode and it lights, screw it back and it still lights, turn it on and off a couple of hundred times and still it lights, go home for a few hours and the bloody phone rings again................Same problem, no pilot
Gas is OK, pilot is clean and electrode lead is OK, but I'm not, any ideas ??
