Saltire

Hi I am new to this, I've recently had a burst pipe with massive damage to the house, its all sorted now but i was wondering if there is a product on the market that can detect a leak as it happens and shut off the water so that this kind of thing never happens again. Iam sure if there was the insurance companies would also like to know.

regards saltire

There used to be a product called "Waterfuse". Not sure if it is still available - it never seemed to catch on.

Two come to mind.

One monitors how much flow you typically use, and if there is a sudden increase in water being consumed it'll cut the water off.

The other is for placing near washing machines etc, you put the probes on the floor and when they get wet it cuts the water off.
