I'm speechless - or is that keyboard frozen?

You sort of expect that type of thing in the urban environment but Wales?

it shocked me i wanted to grab my sledge but decided it was better to reverse out of his way what a psycho hes the sort of guy looking at him who would stab you

No point trying to reason with people like this, obviously has mental issues mate, i'd just leave it why he lives opp your dad and hope he gets over it, to keep piece, but if he starts again i would definitely sort it with your mates, only way people like him understand unfortunately

As said previous best left well alone. Sounds as though he lives upstairs in a bungalow, just not worth the hassle. Bit of a shock at the time but sounds as though it might have got a bit dodgy. Plumbers/heating engineers have long memories, I'm sure at some point in the future he will be requiring your services and he sounds like he would pass you in the street tomorrow without remembering any of what happened. If you ever get the chance, hit him in the pocket. 🙂

i usually, eventially, get in the van (after securing my load) put it in 3rd gear whilst feathering the clutch when i turn the key making out it wont start. ask em for a push and as they are getting out the car start it properley thumbs up and bog off.
take as long as you possibly can and i guarentee you will have the last laugh.

one of my favorites is waving and smilling saying 'ey up mate how you doing, its me' through the car window . it does the neanderthals brains in trying to work out if they know you.lol.

There are plenty of nutters out there who actually would stab you for no reason. Most of them have nothing to lose and are best avoided....its not being a wimp, its valueing what you have and not sqaundering it on people like him.

He's obviously very bitter with life, and I'd personally give him a wide berth. You must feel a bit shell shocked mate. Horrible.

I agree with numb nuts like this its all bluster, posturing etc. People like this very rarely get challenged not because they can have a row but because they catch people unawares, off guard and carrying on there daily lives. They were bullies at school and not that much different now.

When push comes to shove they 9/10 back down that 1/10 they give it a go, trouble is if they do get challenged the person they "give it a go with" can have a row.

I dealt with a situation like this when I was a policeman in London many years ago:

Bit of a road rage incident over nothing, really it was nothing. One bloke got out of his car, 6' huge, previous for drug dealing etc, a considerable handful it provoked. The other bloke was what the 'drug dealer' would call a no-one. Unfortunately, he was someone, according to witnesses he said nothing at all, leant across pulled out a gun and shot the other man!

Best way to deal with this sort of idiot is phone the police, explain that a person has used threatening behavour, unfortunately the police never respond to this type of thing so for good measure explain that you also heard some racist words used and there will be more coppers than you can shake a stick at, then climb in yer van and read the paper until the boys in blue turn up and enjoy the action.
Having said all that, because any vehicle I own tends to be a bit of a rent a wreck I think it would be me forcing them to back up

You have done what I would do ,move the van and keep safe everyone ! I would have gone police just for the statement of the near mist . But fighting back is a big NO NO NO . Try taking it out of your brain and be a good son, husband, dad ! end of the day we are doing all this hard work for the family and is very easy to cross the line and smash the BAD BOY's legs ! but consequence will possible take you away from the love ones ! had a accident on Hatton Garde (londons diamond street )
was driving slow ready to double park for 2 min as need it to go in the shop ,but unfortunately my side mirror hit some one else is and A big Jamaican man come out and start speaking to me and get aggressive and all the bad words I have heard and all the rest I did knot know what he was on about ,but I said sorry and offered to pay him £80 for the crack on his mirror case . He agree and I walk to barclays cash point and got the money . When I was coming back he was chatin to the civil dressed privet security they have on that street ,up on been back he was on about having been paid £150 !
oohhhhhhhhhhh got I lost the plot and told the ****er he is getting no money from me not even a penny ....ha ha ha I was ready to smash his face really angry I was ,any way things when smooth and He had NO money from me ,he still thing I am mr John west from different address and my number is I do not even remember the one I gave him !
But my point is cos I did react polite he kept going mad on my soon as I change my attitude he went quiet !
In your case Gas man if you did loose it would have been a wrong move as you describe that IDIOT he had no reason been angry what so ever , You have done the right thing mate !

I was running late one day going to collect my brother, and got to a point where I had right of way and this driver was ment to give way, instead he drove right through and I beeped the horn and as he was driving past started shouting stuff out his window, I just laughed at him and made some hand gestures(w*nker) and that got him really angry, he stopped the car a bit down the street but luckily for him I was in a hurry, I always have a tool in my driver door but my van isn't signed up at the moment, wouldnt want to be doing anything when my van is signed up ! I just laugh at people now with road rage, its funny, some guy threatened to stab my pal the other day aswell driving past, we found out he is out on bail but who cares, he will get his car torched if he tries anything.
