plumbing for freestanding taps

Hi, I have removed my old bath and am now fitting a freestanding one. I need to cut back the existing 15mm pipes for the new freestanding taps, do I fit an elbow then an extra bit of pipe to bring them through the floorboards by maybe 20mm or do I fit a street? I am asuming that the pipes do come through the floor in order to fit the flexies from the freestanding taps.
My second question is the waste. I have the overflow that runs down into the waste but as my bath will be diagonal will there be an issue in fitting the bath to the existing 40mm waste under the floor?

Oh fun times. Long arms and kissing the floor. Fit a hard wood block to fix the Taps too in the floor. Soft wood will move and lead to wobbles then to leaks

Joints depends on taps. AVOID compression joints under floor and as much as poss in a bathroom

if you bought the taps fm victoria plumb, stop all work and get some others 🙂

I normally get nice hardwood blocks made for the legs too as I do with cast iron rads as looks so much better when finished also helps floor or carpet fitters

I was debating on how best to fit the taps. I was thinking of putting then on a little platform and put the pipe work under the box rather than under the floor. Do you think this will work?

ok so I have two 15mm pipes under the floor, I was going to attach isolating valves to them and screw in the tails under the floor cutting the ply and vinyl to leave an inspection hatch but is this the best way of connecting tails to a pipe?

I like this one, but most will not.

Ha ha seen that one. As the tails are longer than the standpipe it will need to be under the floor so was assuming tap connector onto the tails but people have said avoid compression fittings.
