Removing Victorian tap handle (mixer tap) for bath

Hi all, trying to replace a Victorian mixer tap head for bath as old one getting stiff. I've got cap off and taken screw out however can't remove handle (not budging at all!). Any advice?

Hi, yes I've loosened the shroud but it's the tap handle that won't come off. Have taken screw out and tap handle should now slide off?

Correct so likely limescale so might need some boiling hot water on the handle to expand it a bit and then a tug with some gloves on as it’s hot

Just give it a few taps with a block of wood

it will be on splines and will be stuck, keep the screw out and turn the tap on and off and give it a wiggle and some light taps with soft mallet and it should work loose, WD40 can also help.
