I've used easi dec many times. In fact, I know someone who has a set for sale.

The price will put you off!

It's good stuff although still a bit of a pain putting it up, especially if it was just for a vertical flue.

We used it when putting up solar P.V arrays so all day, you would probably only need one platform mind whereas we had to put up a full kit that spanned the entire house!

Yeah, i've got an idea it's going to be around 3k which is simply too expensive for me.

I have the idea to 'hire' it out. I know a lot of tradesmen and pretty sure if I had this kit I could lend it out quite a few times for £100 a go and get a lot of money back that way. And like I said, I can add the cost of scaffolding to the job and it's pure profit once it's paid for.

I'm not far from Devon. PM me details? Def interested at the right price. Needs to have the longer legs to do 6-8m.

Look at that. Now that's what i'm after. Be worth every penny I reckon.!

Just found a photo that was taken on one of our jobs. This is the full kit that is for sale including the solar winch.

only issue I foresee is struggling to put it up on yor own and dropping a corner through your customers double glazing first thing Monday morning, I'll be sticking with my big scaffold tower .

If you get your own tower, remember if your employing people they need all there certificates to use it all the ppe and the tower will need a report on ot every so often, although the fella ive got has two towers we hardly use them anymore, its not worth the hassel of dragging it all out taking up all the room in the van and then putting it away, we just get the scafoders in now

there is a roofer in our local, does vert flues for all the local lads. £60. i charge more than that just to get my ladders off the roof. he's happy though and the lads are over the moon

I've ordered a roof ladder tonight and will see about getting one of those Tetra kits, see how it goes!

dont you all just love that clenching moment when the cat ladder moves about an inch
ive never had a problem with ladders and cats just stick a eyebolt in the wall to tie it all tothen tie cat to ladder and wear a harness i can never see the need for hard hats when your on a roof anything hitting you on the head up there is god way of telling you its time up

you wear a hat, so that when the safety gear fails theres somewhere for the ambulance crew to put the bits of brain etc!!!!!!!

It wasn't by choice unfortunately. The contractor we subbed to carried out random checks where they turned up out of the blue.

We we even had to wear full harnesses on bungalows with fixed scaffolding!

Where do you tie the harness to though? Surely if you tie them to the ladder if the ladder fails your still screwed!

Awesome, seen one of them on a transit.... ooh best not get started on that

not really no,LOL BT are scrapping there trannies with cherry pickers after 7 years due to rot,the utilities are selling there land rover derived cherry pickers after 20 years due to being worn out ,but they probably go on to another working life for 10 + years after that,no transit ever outlived a defender
