I have a insurance job to try and rescue a poorly installed quad shower the customer wants to save the tiling if possible and has a few spare so fingers crossed it may work , the loss adjuster allowed em £1500 that will just about cover materials. Kop

Sorting out a leaky shower for a client this one was a very poor botched attempt and a big disappointment as they paid decent money , hopefully I can rescue it . Kop

Some times don’t you wish you just stayed in bed 😀

Finishing off adding 4 rads in a school freezing 11/4

&)’;&”/ plug moved and let go
Much mess Shaun ?? It Can happen I had a 42 mm hot go once in a hospital got the valve slid on and hand tight and ice plug went hit the valve like a bullet luckily it didn't come off but I got burnt and soaked tightening it 😜 kop

Luckily no shove my hand over the end managed to hold back 2 bar luckily I turned the boilers off the night before eg yesterday

And I always keep two speedfit cap in my pocket the same size as the pipe I’m cutting just incase so other than two carpet tiles and a ceiling tile staining nothing much

A few that's keeping me going.

But haven't been taking a lot of photos recently.

The two if the swimming pool pipework are repair jobs to do. Customer fitted a couple of taps to be able to take samples easier. They're p ing all over the floor though.

Doing your own one bud ??

No, returning customer. Have done their ensuite, now this bathroom and next one will be the other ensuite later in the year.

Busy at home with the hall and staircase. It was all dark wood, all sanded and now white satin finish, 12 doors grrrrr. Lining paper throughout with coving downstairs. 2 walls with a feature paper and 'elephants breath' emulsion over the lining paper. Just put the new vinyl laminate down in the hall and through into bathroom.
Only been on with it for the last 2 years 🤣🤣

Are they the covered ply type?
I have only used the all plastic type with the hollow centre, was for a budget shower area.
Yeah. I'll only use the marine ply wood ones. Stay well away from the MDF as they just end up swelling.

I've used the plastic ones and they're OK. But they're easily damaged.

I've got a Worcester 4000 30kw stored as it came in and I said i'd have it, but all my jobs I priced Main Eco Compacts. And baxi can't even give a date yet!

Theres nothing up north

But there’s a few in Nottingham

Not be doing anything for a few days. The dreaded lurgy has caught up with me. Weird though, felt like death warmed up yesterday so did a test and come back positive. Today, bit of a sore throat and otherwise fine.
Sorry to hear that Simon much the same acoss the country one I - 13 people have COVID I personally this week know of 6 people with it get well soon mate . 🤧🤒☹️

Hope you feel better soon Simon. We lost my aunty to COVID this time last year and we almost lost mother over Christmas to COVID as well.
I know they say these new variants are weaker but I still live in fear over it, especially for my mum who also has COPD. I always where a mask and sanitise when out and about and although not mandatory anymore I still get frustrated when I see people completely careless to the whole thing.

Getting on top of this one chaps final push tomorrow should see it done, another one is stripped and ready to start . Kop

This eyesore has got to go we've lived with it for long enough now with my little Granddaughter son and his wife due to visit in 3 weeks time for a a break it's got to be done , typically I've neglected doing my own bathroom for so long now it's a bit embarrassing posting it but here goes. Got all that's needed to completely transform for it but will be a challenge in between other jobs 😉watch this space . Kop
