Anyone noticed services taking longer due to boilers not being done on their 12 month routine? ? I keep finding niggly weeps and dirter heat exchangers all add to extra time on the job this one is gonna be a bit more this time ££££ grrr. Kop
Bet you wouldn't of left this one 9 years with out a strip down just a FGA and safety check ?? This afternoons entertainment and to top it all it wouldn't stay lit once cleaned out 🤣 a new set of electrodes sorted it . KopUnfortunately no, don’t really do servicing, more of a visual, gas rate, FGA 🙁, it’s what the company wants. Don’t think I’ve ever serviced anything at all😩

Yes mate it does the job ideal for washing out heat exchangers and sumps the end unscrews and pulls off leaving a 8mm pipe which is really handy for tight spots . Cheers kopThat's grimy, those ones definitely take ages. Had one last week that hadn't had a service in the 12 years its been fitted, was an absolute state, especially as the ceiling had come down at some point and the expansion vessel at the back (ariston micro genus he, so its exposed) was covered in huge chunks of plaster, that was fun to replace. The inside was also full of grit and flies and the heat exchanger was nasty. I should probably charge a bit extra if they haven't been serviced in 3+yrs.
Is the portable power washer in the picture good? Haven't seen one of those before.

self employment bud is where you should be aiming , i worked for companies for 30 + years making others wealthy before i took the plunge its now 9 years and haven't looked back always busy and my own boss jobs get done right, im happy customers are happy i get more work and recommendations no advertising no website just word of mouth and i am not the cheapest quality costs that little bit more. Regards KopI suppose it would depend on fga results 😱 if they’re ok, then it gets left, loads of our stock of Vaillant’s are 10 - 12 years no strip down🤫 it really p****s me off, because I’d love to strip them down, but they’re monitoring costs etc now ffs. Might also be why I’m not the best on fault finding😔

Earth pins mate. Holding the insulation in place. After 9 years would be surprised if they weren’t down to little stubs.Pins mate not sure what you mean ? Both electrodes got changed spark and flame sensing, cheers Kop
