To a “disused” room stat. Both greys fed into neutral load on spur, grey wire snipped at boiler end.Where does the grey wire go ?
Nice one mate that's more like it .Ok, so basically, the installer assumed blue wire was neutral, L - N was approx 10Vac, N - E was approx 248VAc, L - E was approx 248Vac, so originally I assumed reversed polarity.
What was actually happening was blue wire in spur was switched Live, so boiler would only work with the old room stat that was left connected.
The stat was obviously left in a position where the boiler would operate, and was either turned by customer (said it hasn’t been touched), or it wouldn’t work, as temperature was high today.
The customer emptied his bowls then emptied his wallet to get it removed.Anyone spot the difference.
It’s plastic everywhere you can’t see and poking through under the sink.Sorry Scott but no that can’t be a caravan no hep pipe in site
It’s a static caravan / residential park home. It’s unlikely to ever move.Is that a transportable caravan?
ie: One you tow behind a vehicle for holidays and adventures?
Reason I'm asking is because we have bans on using press fit fittings in caravans.
We can't use them at all in Caravans.
Something to do with constant vibration when traveling, press fit fittings can become loose and leak.
Just Checking. It’s a static caravan / residential park home. It’s unlikely to ever move.
Looks like a cracking trip. Not much to post on the work front , I've been on a trip to Porto in Portugal for my 60th birthday my wife surprised me on Thursday last week and we flew out Saturday for 4 days, had a great time and was throughly spoilt , we got alot done and saw alot the Douro valley was breathtaking and well worth the effort how they sculpted the valley to produce the vines was amazing the architecture in the city was breathtaking had some really good food and wine and family time .
Only damper was I had a positive COVID test when I got home not felt 100% during the trip but been so busy didn't worry about as was out in the fresh air each day , now resting up I did a bit of work Friday in a empty house but nothing over the weekend. Regards kop
That's a coincidence I've got this one to do condemned it yesterday hardest part is finding a Baxi boiler 😂 any pictures of yours bricking the flue up can take a good few hoursJust swapped out a classic for baxi 616 with rear flue. Told the customer I'd replace toilet internals if boiler went well and I ran out of things to pretend to struggle with.
Regretted it on my way to van for the angle grinder!
