Hi everyone, hope this is the right forum to post this question in.
I am hoping someone can recomend a wireless thermostat that will work on a Glow-worm Ultracom boiler.
The boiler isnt installed yet and I dont know if its the older model Ultracom or the newer Ultracom2 that my installer has chosen.
With that in mind and assuming that its the older model, I want to add a wireless thermostat to the system.
The only wireless stat I have experience of is a towerstat RF-BM which physically replaced the timer clock inside our old Halstead Ace High. It had a 7 day programable timer built into the wireless stat.
Would I be right in thinking that if the new Glow-worm boiler has programable 7 day control built in then all I need on the wireless stat is a temperature function and not a programmer like the old stat?
I like the idea of the RF stats the old towerstat on my old boiler was really easy to install and only took minutes so Im hoping for the same for the Glow-worm.
Im sure some of you may wonder why my installer isnt sorting this out for me, well the boiler is being replaced free of charge by Npower on our breakdown policy, they couldnt repair the old one. But they will not pay for some parts of the work including work required to bring the installation in line with current building regulations.
This is down to me to sort out at my own expense.
Thanks in advance,
Rich T
