I'm having a few problems figuring out the (basic!) diagram and instructions that come with my new Danfoss RET-B-RF RX1 wireless room stat. Its the type with just stat function, ie. no built in programmer. I have a Y Plan vented system with Potterton EP3002 programmer.

This is the diagram for the new stat (using diagram on left for RX1);

And the Y Plan diagram (I don't have a room stat fitted at present)

Which wires from the wiring centre do I connect to which connections on the stat?

these are simple wiring diagrams, i am afraid that if they make no sense you should be calling in an electrician to do the work, simplesssss😀

Yes, they are simple diagrams, but the instructions for wiring with the new stat are minimal.

Think I know how it goes now.

L and N from w/centre to L and N on stat.

Wire from programmer heating on to 2 on stat

white wire from mot. valve to 3 on stat.

Simplesssss - I hope?????

Not trying to be overcautious but if woodbine doesnt understand these diagrams that come with his stat, he shouldnt be fiddling with the electrics. I'm not worried about woodbine killing himself (darwinian theory of survival of the fittest works for me) but I do worry about his family or anyone following on after him.

Only 3 weeks back I had to go back to an unvented system with 2 2way valves one of which wasnt working, that a part P electrician had wired in wrong, swapped grey and brown and all was ok with the synchron motor.

Take some advice, jack of all trades and master of none is so true, call in someone who knows what they are about and stop fiddling.
