The SDM1901 is now almost obsolete. The SDMV2304 looks like a drop in replacement. I have a boiler/storage tank setup with a 3 port divert valve for heating/hot water. There is no room stat as all rads have thermostatic controls.
Is this a safe replacement?
This started last night at 11.25 and has me completely flummoxed. A banging noise that is hard to track down. When I'm in Bathrooom that has airing cupboard it seems to come from hallway when in hallway it seems for come from cupboard. The system is a grant boiler in an outside house, purpose...
Evening all,
Apologies if this has been covered in another thread - I've never called upon a forum before! š¬
We're in the process of upgrading our old heat only boiler with a new Ideal Logic heat only boiler.
So, feels like an opportune time to upgrade our ancient (albeit reliable) Sunvic...
I have a sunvic 2 port diverter valve on a tribune HE hot water tank, it's not activating when hot water needs heating. I've replaced the thermostat, but have to hit the diverter valve a few times to get it to activate. Any idea what may be causing the motor to stick as it is working just needs...
Hi All,
I'd like to swap my Sunvic 3 port motorised port for a Honeywell.
The issue I have is that the Sunvic has 4 wires and the Honeywell has 5?
Anyone know if this can be done?
Thanks
Hi All,
I've need to change the actuator on a three port 4 wire. The actuator that is on it currently is a Sunvic SDM1901.
Is there an equivalent make I could use without having to change the pipe work and follows the same wiring?
Thanks
I have a problem with a fairly new Sunvic SDMV2304 Motorised Mid Position 3-Port Valve (MOMO).
It won't completely shut off the DHW and consequently the cylinder water is too hot. I have checked for complete rotation and this is fine. If I switch on the valve to make a complete rotation it then...
I was having a few problems (rads on with only water switch down). Engineer came and fitted a new three port valve and acutator (was Danfoss, fitted Sunvic SD2701). the Sunvic has a metal lever, one side says normal use, the other end say flushing only. The metal lever can be locked on either...

Hi, I will need to drain down the CH system to install a complete new Sunvic motorised 3 way valve assembly. The only drain tap I can find is on the pipework adjacent to the bathroom radiator. This radiator is permanently hot whenever the hot water system is activated--whether the CH is 'on' or...

Gotta replace this ancient 2 port... Is it compatable with a modern 28mm Honeywell 2 port, can't find anything online! Wiring is obviously different according to the label!
It's a satchwell 2 port on the cylinder return, the boiler is floor standing gravity set up where the boiler only fires...
Hi all,
We've got an old Sunvic TLX 2000 electromechanical thermostat on the wall in our hall. It looks considerably older than our combi boiler (Ariston E-Combi) which is probably less than 5 years old. How can i tell if the thermostat is wired up to the boiler or if its a relic that just...
hi, i am going to change my broken randall 4033 timer to a sunvic 2000 timer.
i have found a conversion chart which gives the alternative locations for the wires from the randall to the sunvic, ie, 7 to N, 6 to L,ect.
There is a birdsnest of wires in the back of the randall, and i was...
Hi,
I had problem where my central heating was tripping the circuit breaker on my house. A heating engineer and electrician resolved by replacing the timer and actuator. The original actuator was a Sunvic DM5601 and had 5 wires. The replacement is a Sunvic SD2701 with only 4 wires. Since then...
Hi ... I'm changing a 3 port Sunvic valve (MK1453). I've read that instead of replacing the body you can replace just the inners as this is held by 4 screws. If this is possible, will the system need to be drained first or is there a 'shortcut' ? Thanks in advance for any replies.
Hey chaps, I am in need of some help. I have the above motorised valves on a system and cannot figure out or find out any where what the wires are. It has yellow, white, orange and blue and green and yellow. No grey on it. So which will need to be wired into the live in the wiring centre? Also...
My boiler (Potterton Suprima 60) fires up OK but the radiators stay cold. It happens when the heating controller is on automatic on/off time settings. The pipes close to the pump (a 20+ years old Grundfos) and Honeywell (new) diversion valve do get hot though. The controller is a Sunvic...

Having been told by Sunvic and Drayton that I couldn't wire a Drayton MA1 mid position valve to a Sunvic RJ 2801or 2802 relay junction box I set out to do just that! After some head scratching with the RJ wiring diagrams the result was amazingly simple and was fully tested in all the Htg and HW...
We recently moved into a house that has a Sunvic TLX 7506 Thermostat connect to a Vaillant combi boiler. I am looking to upgrade it to a programable one so I can set timers etc. and I was hoping to get some advice as to what models would work with my current equipment. I was hoping to be able to...
Hi.
I am hoping for some help (I'm afraid I don't know much about plumbing etc but will give all the info I know).
we currently hAve sunvic Dm5601 motorised valve which has become unreliable - it seems the pin gets stuck preventing the head from turning it but even applying grease has not...
