Gents ... Any ideas would be a great help .

I am sick to death of desk top pc problems, and use this i-pad all the time .
i only use the desk top for invoices / estimates etc .

I quite fancy using this i-pad for invoices / estimates or even buying the i-pad pro .
Can you print of an I-pad ?
I have had a quick look at the apple word processor, but fancy trying to make my own template .
Do any of the gas apps have invoice templates on them that are easy to use via the i-pad ?

Thanks in advance

Yes you can print from an IPad using a suitable printer. HP printers are available for this. Air print I think is the term, as it works like a wifi.
I have just asked same question about doing documents from iPad and Chalked recommended "Pages" app.
I have been using it for doing letters and it did the job nicely, although took me a while to get used to it.

Cheers , I have 'pages' on here, but never really had the time to have a play with it , its taken years to get to use 'word' lol. so thats why I wondered if any of the apps have a invoice /estimate within them . But more importantly easy to use.

I`m waiting for the price on the Surface pro to come down then I want one.

I've got a Surface Pro 3, and I love it. However, it doesn't come with a SIMM card option - its only Wifi. That doesn't bother me, because I am usually using it at the office or at home, but it might be a pain for you mobile types. You can get mobile hot-spots, or you can tether it to your phone, but that adds to the effort.

A lad I spoke to today think my desktop may have got a virus , I couldnt get in it last night . Putting 2 & 2 together he maybe right , coz some **** cloned my debit card at the weekend , its never been in a cash machine

Sorry to hear about the card mate. My laptop took a virus over xmas, gave it to a pal of mine who wiped it clean and reinstalled windows again using the product key sticker on the bottom so all is not lost mate.

Get some antivirus on your computer pronto or if it is still playing up I would do a full re-install of windows and your software or get someone else to do it for you.

At least from a full fresh install of windows you will find the computer will be a lot quicker in general.

Hope this helps,

Andy

The virus mine got meant it wouldn`t respond to anything so probably too late for the anti-virus now but install spy-bot and a good anti-virus such as McAfee when you get it fixed and set up the autosave feature or back it up to an external hardrive every week.

Take hard drive out and put in a caddy which will connect to pc via usb.

Use another computer with above mentioned anti virus software that has just been updated and had a full system scan.

Connect the affected hard drive via caddy usb lead and perform full scan of the drive for virus's/malware.

The antivirus should detect any nasties and let you know/deal with them for you or tell you how to manually remove.

Once this is done I personally would perform a full drive sector scan to see condition of drive and then if it is in good health I would do a fresh re-install of windows and fully update with all updates from Microsoft site & get some good antivirus.

The other thing that may be happening is that your hard drive may be failing which if you are lucky gives you warning like this and may allow you to recover data from it before you get the click of death of the drive.

May be better taking computer to a specialist if you are not aufait with all of the above and pay some pound notes and get it sorted.
