Hi folks,

As above, the 30 & 50 light flashing together, flame ignition and fan. Reset the boiler and for a brief moment when demand is made the pump runs then back to 30&50 flashing together. Reset and same happens.

Raking my brain and I'm sure I've had this once before and replaced the PCB ... Not 100% sure though so I'm wondering if anyone out there has had this before? Tested all the microswitch operations, aps, flow and h/w, all okay; but didn't check the sensors..... grrrrrrrrrrrr!

Can any of you verify my memory or tell me I'm wrong and what the fault is?

Thanks in advance ... 🙂

steve

if its a band b aps has died

Replaced the aps a cupl of days ago mark ... got the job as intermittent '50' fan fault .... aps was registering high resistance NC and NO ... When I was there it was working fine and couldn't get it to 'fault' so suspected aps...! Back today and its flashing 30&50 virtually straight away. Doesn't give the boiler a chance to prove anything to be honest!! Boiler's 2008ish?

does t look like a 105?

check ignition block on gasvalve see if 240v is going in also check flue,ignition/detection circuit and venturies not melted, also check fan multiplug on pcb have had a few where the pins have stretched

Cheers mate ... Most of what you say I have no chance of checking ... boiler literally starts the pump, pump switch proves then the boiler fails to 30&50 light flashing simultaneously! Pump switch is tested and 0 ohms across when proven......Doesn't get to fan stage nevermind gas valve and ignition...!! 🙂

any visible water leaks on it?

doubt its the o/heat stat or ntc,ntc resistance is 11k cold its a dry screw in type so no need to drain down, dhw is wet type

Cheers Mate! I've had this once before and am about 60/70% sure it turned out to be the board ... I actually have a spare, didn't realize is was the same as the 105e 🙂 5pm on a saturday with the missus in the van and me dressed for anything but work I wasn't going to stay long 🙂
Its the 2 lights flashing together that's unusual ........... *shrug*

Going there tomorrow at a sensible time on a sensible day, armed and ready !! Will let you know the outcome, hopefully 🙂

Has the same fault about 6 weeks back, same fault lights just very intermittent! Spoke to baxi 3 times and ended up changing PCB, no come back since

Thanks for that jefaz 🙂 This was intermittent and could be re-set by the tenant, apparently he'd been re-setting it for a week or so. When I went there though it wouldn't re-set. On one attempt to re-set it actually flashed the same two lights in the re-set position....?
