Good morning to you all.
Went to a job yesterday for a landlord customer of mine and found that there's no data at all on the gas fire or the boiler.
Don't know what make/model the fire is but it's a LFE type with a brass surround. The boiler is a Potterton Suprima that's years old, and the flue is too close to the canopy outside.

Questions:

  1. what would you guys do about the lack of data? I can get the GC number for the boiler from a downloaded manual I suppose, but I still won't have a serial number.
  2. How do I log the gas fire into the inspection/service records (I use the GE online software)
  3. How would you classify the flue problem? I think that it's AR and they need to move the end of the canopy to get 300mm - see the photo

You can't test the fire not knowing make and model so AR and turn off until badge or MIs can be sourced

Had similar looking fires with crap paper labels on. They can be in awkward places to see. Did you pull burner out to see if its underneath .
