Um, yeah, there's that too!

When I was training I was desperate to get in voids to practice removing a meters and purge & relight. Every flippin' one of them was pre-pay...

the ones with the big A AND B buttons were you have to time them actually when there going to display numbers for gas rating nightmare.

Did a landlords a couple of months ago with no credit left on meter.
Went to local corner shop and put £10 on a blank gas card - did the work & then dropped the card back to landlord.
Stuck the extra on bill - no problem.

Having never had to use a prepay card on my own house, will one fit all the others? If so, I like Blod's idea of just chucking a few quid on the bill but having my own knocking around.

i amnot sure if it will work , plus there are differnt types of cards/keys used.

pie in the sky,be good to me and you will get all my work,he got you to go to the properties he should pay for your time.

i think there isnt anything wrong with fitting as long as its gastight.

never had one of the anti tamper devices go off on me yet. mind you where is the number you have to call if you do manage to set them off?
yes, i would like to know from people with experience of these too!!!!!!! anyone?.

thing you need to think of really is... if you go there and dont test because of no credit in meter, then there is a problem possibly a death how would you feel then? i put the meter on then do my tests and go. each to there own though i suppose.

Hi, i was looking on ebay last month, apart from it being easy enough to buy a new U6 or G meter on ebay, there was a chap selling a bypass jig, just a bit of anaconda and some barrel with a test nipple, is that cocha???

Ive set a few off, supplier comes out and re sets it foc, apparently a lorry going past can set one off, normaly goes off if the unions are tight and you have to give it some grrrrrrr to losen them and it shakes the meter.

do you read the posts?

I see that on ebay you can buy a sort of bypass which you connect in place of a meter. You could try one of them maybe. Do you think it legal?
