I have a insurance job to try and rescue a poorly installed quad shower the customer wants to save the tiling if possible and has a few spare so fingers crossed it may work , the loss adjuster allowed em £1500 that will just about cover materials. Kop

Getting sorted for lpg combi to external combi swap tomorrow and wednesday. Then dossing around doing some little jobs for rest of this week and next week. Then 2 weeks on a wet room followed by 2 and half weeks on another wet room.
Pics to follow 👍👍

Looks a lot better 👍👍

Nobody ever seems to. Not hard for people to get it right if they just read the instructions!

Very nice mate. What do you do with the old bbu and flow and return?
Removed the BB and fire, 28mm gravity pipework removed and new flow and return teed into existing heating pipework under floorboards.
The gas was a bit of a pig, lifted loads of floorboards and it was all in 3/8 iron

Some good deals on Vaillant combis, std flue and omega filter at Mr central heating if you have one nearby

Will have a look but I tend to fit the vaillant filter for the extra warranty. I have got a bbu to combi coming up.

I’m afraid I’ve been beaten can’t get the bottom spring baffle out

even tried to see if I could turn it to loosen it

Gave them the option fix price from worc or new boiler

Yes, theres an external biomass boiler and then the tank in the cellar. They're having the kitchen done so wanted two new rads, luckily right above the plant room.

done the same a few times on a Friday when the door just catches 😀

My home on and off for the next two to three weeks full new system but surface pipe work

plenty of black gold as it’s an old gravity system luckily it’s getting painted after 🙂
