Fairly easy, here my lord is the receipts for my materials, it took me x time so final cost as per my written quote is x custard has made no complaints ( or I have put right the small snags as applicable) they just don't want to pay me.

Ah yes but you know they will counter with "quality of work, no response from plumber" baloney.

Seems it didn't last long, RogueCustomers.com is up for sale at $350. The .co.uk one was registered on 22nd November 2012 by another fella called Nigel, not the same one though. Maybe, just maybe they'll put it to good use.

Shame. I remember seeing the .com one on the news and the work he pulled down before and after.

It's only going to get worse on the 'rogue' customer front. Which then means it's going to get nastier, the courts are a waste of time, you'll end up getting 50p a week for 300 years. In the main I am a nice person but I'm a bit like jekyll and hyde when it comes to somebody trying to rip me off.

you must have very trusting leg breaker near you usual terms are we collect and take x per cent
trouble is once they have the money how are you going to get it of them ?

Find out a bit about them, and then make a point of asking for your money at the most embarrassing possible time. If they are chuchgoers - ask them in church. If they are members of a golf club - ask them in the bar. Loudly.

MickW and I once visited a bad debtor while he was having sunday lunch at his boyfriends mother's house. Posh place it was, very nice house. We did our homework, decided Sunday lunchtime would be a good time to catch them in. Knocked on the door, very upmarket older woman answered.

"Is C**** in?"

"Yes he is"

"Could you please tell him that Mick and Ray are here to see him"

"Of course. You had better come in. Can I get you a cup of tea?"

"That would be lovely, thank you."

By this time we were in the dining room. Surprise surprise - all of a sudden he couldn't pay us fast enough...

Class Ray very pleasant too......

Doesn't always work out that way Vern. I tried something similar on another guy who I knew was playing away.

I turned up at his birds place at about 6:30 in the morning, thinking that if I caught him there, he would know that I knew and for fear of his missus finding out, he would pay me.

Turned out he had already split up from his wife, and was living with this woman and her three noisy and determined looking german shepherds. I got paid eventually (£20 a month for about 3 years) but not on that trip. 🙁

Felt a bit of a prat as well. I like dogs, but I don't want to be breakfast for them.

Coming from a commercial background, working on the bigger stuff, I heard a belter a while ago. Not getting back at a customer, but his employers who had finished him up unfairly, some guy a friend used to work with tipped his entire toolbox down an 8" pipe, 24" still sons the lot. Don't know what the outcome was but it sure tickled me.

Also heard of golf balls/ ping pong balls going in some systems again on larger stuff, the possibilities are endless!

Should have used his boss`s tools.

In our little co-operative that we operate when it's needed/required if we have had a bit of bother with a customer the next time somebody goes to do something they'll charge and extra £20 and give half to the one that had the problem. We have very long memories.

One of the lads did some work about 5 years ago for somebody and paid them £100 short because he said that's what the materials cost in screwfix. He's had his money back, with interest.

This is a great idea, May do this, I have the knowledge and the support of family who know aboout websites, problem is that who would want to be a sponsor on such a site? how would it make money? (dont want to do it for free!)

Was at a family party and my brother-in-law's brother was telling us about all the junk mail he's suddenly been finding on his doormat, sex toy catalogues and the like. When he got to the bit about the wig fitting service my brother-in-law spat his drink out and literally ran away. Turns out he's the one who's been having all the mail sent to him, he still doesn't know and we have a great laugh telling him he's getting thin on top.

Might be a good one for baldy customers with comb overs?

as said before on different thread taken colins idea with the leaflets print name address and a photo and write convicted peadofile ! they will never loose the title.

as i work on the doors on the weekend i work with a few "legbreakers" they do it as a favour. i know one of the lads i work with is a bin man in the day and one day a man freaked out on him because he had to wait for them to move the wagon so he could park outside his house. he doesnt have a long fuse but the fella kept going on at him anyway the doorlad ended up smacking him and mounted him in the mans own front garden. he thought there might of been a comback the following week there was a few of us following the bin wagon was like a funeral percession with the boys walking along the pavement.

theres always a way to get back at sombody but it has to be a fair bit to think of doing the bad things ! sombody not paying up £1000 you brick there windows you loose £10k in lost work for being that "thug" tradesman
