bleeding
Bleeding, also known as a hemorrhage, haemorrhage, or simply blood loss, is blood escaping from the circulatory system from damaged blood vessels. Bleeding can occur internally, or externally either through a natural opening such as the mouth, nose, ear, urethra, vagina or anus, or through a wound in the skin.
Hypovolemia is a massive decrease in blood volume, and death by excessive loss of blood is referred to as exsanguination. Typically, a healthy person can endure a loss of 10–15% of the total blood volume without serious medical difficulties (by comparison, blood donation typically takes 8–10% of the donor's blood volume). The stopping or controlling of bleeding is called hemostasis and is an important part of both first aid and surgery.
The use of cyanoacrylate glue to prevent bleeding and seal battle wounds was designed and first used in the Vietnam War. Today many medical treatments use a medical version of "super glue" instead of using traditional stitches used for small wounds that need to be closed at the skin level.

i have a towel rail radiator, every few weeks it goes cold at the top and I end up bleeding quite a bit of air from it.

Hi all, how do you test for hydrogen, when bleeding rads?
If I know the gas coming out of the rad is hydrogen for arguements sake when I bleed it, then I know internal corrosion, is taken place.
So I can eliminate, air being sucked in.
Thanks:tounge_smile:
On one of the radiators I am not able to move the valve to release the air - it appears seized. Any tips on ways to free it ? Can I do any damage ? ( if its possible I seem to do it ! ) Thanks for any help.

Hi everyone,
I need some urgent help, we had 4 radiators fitted 2 weeks ago with chased copper pipes. Understood that the best way to avoid corrosion was to cover them on Anti-corrosion tape (Denso Tape), however no-one told me that the oil (Petroleum) would bleed because of the heat and stain...
